Steven Commissioned to Write World Premiere Play for Randolph Union High School in Vermont, inspired by the Warm Springs Polio Treatment Center
Steven has been commissioned by Randolph Union High School's terrific theatre program (which previously presented 28 MARCHANT AVENUE: SIX SUMMERS AT HYANNIS PORT) to write a play about the warm springs in Georgia that changed the treatment of Polio patients forever.
McCasland’s play isn't just about Polio and FDR's famous springs, though.... it's about teenagers: the ups, the downs, the puberty, and the curiosity of those years we all remember.
Led by the program's extraordinary director, Brian Rainville, the students will present the world premiere of my play, THE WARMEST SPRING.
